Heart attack patients: which imaging method leads to better outcomes?

NCT ID NCT06227754

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study compares two ways of guiding heart artery treatment in people having a major heart attack. One method uses standard X-ray images (angiography), the other uses a more detailed light-based scan (OCT). The goal is to see which approach leads to fewer heart-related problems over time. About 1500 adults will take part.
