Summary
This study looks at a device called the Occlutech PDA Occluder, which is used to close a heart defect called patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). The defect is a small blood vessel that should close after birth but stays open, causing extra strain on the heart. The device is placed through a tube in a blood vessel, avoiding open-heart surgery. Researchers will follow 255 people of any age (weighing over 3 kg) for up to 3 years to see if the device safely and completely closes the hole.
