New registry aims to unlock safer pregnancies for women with autoimmune conditions
NCT ID NCT06940869
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This registry enrolls up to 1,000 women aged 12–55 with rheumatic or autoimmune diseases who are pregnant or planning pregnancy. Researchers will collect data from medical records and patient surveys to study pregnancy outcomes, disease activity, and medication use. No experimental treatments are given; the goal is to gather information to improve future care.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this registry could help doctors better understand how to manage rheumatic diseases during pregnancy and improve outcomes for mothers and babies.
What could go wrong
This is an observational registry, not a treatment trial. It collects existing data and surveys, so it cannot directly prove what works best. Results may take years to emerge.
