First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study compares whether specially trained nurses can safely insert a thin tube into the wrist artery for a heart test, compared to cardiologists. About 1,600 adults scheduled for elective coronary angiography will take part. The goal is to see if nurses can achieve the same first-attempt success rate with no more complications than doctors.
