Can common painkillers replace opioids after surgery?

NCT ID NCT07154433

Summary

This study tests whether a combination of common non-opioid pain medications (celecoxib and acetaminophen) works as well as opioid-based pain relief for patients recovering from minimally invasive ankle surgery. Researchers will compare pain levels and side effects in 110 adults over six days after their procedure. The goal is to find safer pain management options that reduce risks like addiction and breathing problems while still effectively controlling pain.
