Safer pain relief after ankle surgery? Non-Opioid approach tested

NCT ID NCT07154433

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-opioid pain medicine combination (celecoxib plus acetaminophen) works as well as standard opioid painkillers after ankle surgery. About 110 adults having minimally invasive ankle procedures will be randomly assigned to one of the two pain plans. The goal is to see if the non-opioid option can control pain just as effectively while avoiding opioid risks like addiction and breathing problems.
