Nerve zapping eases burn aftermath for teens

NCT ID NCT07566923

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a non-invasive device that stimulates the vagus nerve can improve anxiety, sleep, pain, and itching in teenagers aged 12-18 who have had burn injuries. About 60 participants will either get this stimulation plus standard physical therapy, or just standard therapy, for 10 sessions over two weeks. The goal is to see if this extra treatment helps their symptoms and nervous system function.
