New study tests Needle-Free blood pressure monitoring during brain surgery

NCT ID NCT07246148

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares a non-invasive continuous blood pressure monitor (ClearSight) to the standard arterial catheter in 50 adults undergoing coil embolization for unruptured brain aneurysms. The goal is to see if the non-invasive method can safely detect blood pressure changes and reduce the need for invasive catheters. Participants are randomly assigned to one of the two monitoring methods during their procedure.
