First seen Jun 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether a wearable goggle system that makes parathyroid glands glow can help surgeons find and protect them during thyroid removal. About 280 adults having thyroid surgery will take part. The goal is to reduce the risk of low calcium levels after surgery, a common complication when parathyroid glands are accidentally damaged or removed.
