Nerve block may sharpen Surgeon's view and cut pain in brain tumor surgery

NCT ID NCT07569952

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a targeted nerve block (sphenopalatine ganglion block) given before surgery can improve the surgeon's view and reduce pain after pituitary tumor removal. About 70 adults aged 21–60 will be randomly assigned to receive either the nerve block plus standard anesthesia or standard anesthesia alone. The goal is to see if the block leads to less bleeding during surgery and better pain control afterward.
