First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to sedate children before cleft palate repair: a combination of two drugs (dexmedetomidine and ketamine) given as a mist versus dexmedetomidine alone. The goal is to see which approach works better for helping kids relax before surgery and preventing confusion or agitation when they wake up. The trial will enroll 60 children and measure sedation levels and recovery behavior.
