New program aims to cut obesity and diabetes risks for moms and babies

Summary

This study tests an enhanced version of the National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP-NextGen) designed for young women aged 18-39 with overweight or obesity who may become pregnant within two years. About 360 women will either join the online program or receive standard health information. Researchers will track blood sugar, weight gain, and baby's body fat to see if the program helps prevent obesity and diabetes across generations.
