First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether nattokinase, an enzyme from fermented soy (natto), can reduce inflammation and improve heart health markers in people with high cholesterol. About 48 adults with dyslipidemia will take nattokinase or a placebo for two months. Researchers will measure changes in blood markers like C-reactive protein and cholesterol to see if the supplement helps control disease risk.
