First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a procedure to destroy lymphoid tissue in the back of the nose during standard sinus surgery can better control inflammation and reduce the return of nasal polyps. About 32 adults with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps will be randomly assigned to get either sinus surgery alone or sinus surgery plus this extra ablation. Researchers will check inflammation levels, symptoms, and polyp regrowth for 6 months after surgery.
