First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at why brown fat, which helps keep weight healthy, stops working well as we age. Researchers think a drop in a molecule called NAD+ might be the reason. They will measure how the body uses sugar and fat in 68 adults with normal weight or obesity to learn more. The goal is to find new ways to prevent obesity and type 2 diabetes.
