Summary

This study compares two ways to recover after reverse total shoulder replacement: using a smartphone app (mymobility) for home exercises versus standard in-person physical therapy. Researchers will enroll 100 adults to see if the app works just as well. The main goal is to measure pain and function using a standard shoulder score.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

mymobility digital platform for physical therapy

What this could lead to

If successful, this could show that a smartphone app is just as effective as in-person physical therapy for recovery after shoulder replacement, potentially making rehab more convenient and accessible.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study (100 participants) comparing two rehab approaches, not testing a new drug or device. The app may not work as well for everyone, especially those less comfortable with technology.
