Music therapy soothes severe mental illness: new study tests anxiety relief

Summary

This study looks at whether music therapy can lower anxiety and stress in people with severe mental illness who are staying in a hospital unit. Twelve participants will attend 15 one-hour music sessions where they choose songs and talk with a nurse. Researchers will measure changes in anxiety, stress, and recovery using questionnaires.
