NCT ID NCT05472909

First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at whether listening to your own choice of music can lower anxiety during hand surgery that uses only local anesthesia (you are awake). About 170 adults will be randomly assigned to hear either their preferred music or a standard relaxation track while in the operating room. Researchers will measure anxiety levels, heart rate, and blood pressure to see which music works better.
