NCT ID NCT07166198

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at how muscle weakness develops when a wrist is immobilized for a week in women aged 40-65. It tests whether strength training the opposite arm can help maintain muscle and nerve function in the casted arm. Participants will wear a wrist cast for 7 days and may do strength training with the other arm. The goal is to understand the nervous system's role in muscle weakness and find ways to prevent it.
