NCT ID NCT07406191
First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether a time-saving, joint-friendly muscle stimulation technology (whole-body electromyostimulation) can lower resting blood pressure and improve other heart-related risk factors in people with mild high blood pressure and overweight. Researchers will compare the effects of several weeks of this training against no training in 42 adults aged 50 and older. The goal is to see if this approach offers a practical alternative to traditional exercise for managing cardiometabolic health.
