Shocking workout? study tests muscle stimulation to tame high blood pressure
NCT ID NCT07406191
Summary
This study is testing if a time-saving workout using whole-body muscle stimulation (WB-EMS) can help lower resting blood pressure and improve other heart health markers. It will involve 42 adults aged 50+ who have mild high blood pressure and are overweight. The goal is to see if this joint-friendly alternative to traditional exercise can be a safe and effective way to manage cardiometabolic risk factors.
