Summary
This study investigates how muscle fiber type and protein makeup relate to early insulin resistance, a key step before type 2 diabetes develops. Researchers will follow 250 healthy adults aged 20-30 for up to 20 years, using muscle biopsies, scans, and wearable sensors. The goal is to understand why some people develop insulin resistance and to find new ways to prevent diabetes.
