Could weak muscles make blood thinners more dangerous for seniors?

NCT ID NCT07173075

Summary

This study aims to understand if having less muscle mass increases the risk of serious bleeding in people aged 70 and older who take common blood-thinning pills. Researchers will compare the muscle mass of 110 participants who have had a bleeding event with those who have not. The goal is to gather information that could help doctors better assess risks for their elderly patients on these medications.
