Muscle loss linked to bleeding danger in seniors on anticoagulants?

NCT ID NCT07173075

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looks at whether older adults (70+) with low muscle mass have a higher risk of bleeding while taking common blood thinners. Researchers will compare muscle mass, sarcopenia, and nutrition between 110 patients who had a bleeding event and those who did not. The goal is to better understand risk factors, not to test a new treatment.
