First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study explores how a lung treatment called endobronchial valves (EBV) changes leg muscle function in people with severe emphysema. Researchers will measure muscle energy and structure before and 6 months after valve placement using MRI scans and small muscle samples. The goal is to understand why patients often feel stronger and more active after this procedure.
