First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether a single dose of donor stem cells given through a vein could help COVID-19 patients with severe lung failure breathe better. Twenty adults took part, and the main goal was to see if oxygen levels in the blood improved within a week. The treatment aims to control the disease and reduce lung damage, but is not a cure.
