MRI may spare bladder cancer patients from invasive biopsies

NCT ID NCT06335667

First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a special MRI scan (mpMRI) can accurately detect muscle-invasive bladder cancer without needing a surgical biopsy (TURBT). About 30 adults with suspected invasive bladder cancer will get both tests, and researchers will compare the results. If the MRI proves reliable, it could offer a less invasive way to diagnose and plan treatment for this serious cancer.
