First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study follows 40 adults having surgery for a slipped disc in the lower back that causes leg weakness. Researchers want to find out which factors before surgery—like age, diabetes, or how long the weakness lasted—best predict how much strength returns. The goal is to help doctors give better advice and plan surgeries for the best possible recovery.
