Moms with tape measures fight child malnutrition relapse

NCT ID NCT06599580

Summary

This study tests if training mothers to regularly check their child's upper arm with a simple tape measure can help catch malnutrition sooner if it returns. It involves 2,400 children aged 6-54 months in Burkina Faso who have recently recovered from severe malnutrition. The goal is to see if this home screening by caregivers leads to faster detection and better growth outcomes compared to standard clinic visits alone.
