New inhaled drug tested for deadly combo of lung scarring and high pressure

NCT ID NCT06635850

Summary

This study is testing whether an inhaled drug called mosliciguat is safe and effective for people who have high blood pressure in their lungs (pulmonary hypertension) caused by underlying lung scarring (interstitial lung disease). About 135 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real drug or a placebo for 24 weeks to see if it improves heart and lung function and walking ability. After the initial period, all participants can choose to continue receiving the active drug.
