Summary
This study tests if montelukast, a medicine used for asthma, can help protect the kidneys and blood vessels in teens and young adults (ages 14-24) with type 2 diabetes. The drug works by blocking inflammation that can harm these organs. Researchers will measure changes in kidney and blood vessel function over 6 months in 50 participants.
