First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested a new way to find people exposed to tuberculosis (TB) in Cali, Colombia. Instead of relying only on in-person visits, researchers used a mobile phone chatbot and a simple oral (mouth) test that people could do at home. The goal was to see if this approach was practical and acceptable for TB contact tracing. The study involved 269 participants and focused on measuring how many people used the chatbot and successfully provided an oral sample.
