First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to find people exposed to tuberculosis (TB) in Cali, Colombia, using a smartphone chatbot and a simple mouth-swab test at home. Researchers worked with 269 participants to see if this approach was practical and easy to use. The goal was to prepare for a larger future study that could make TB contact tracing faster and more accessible.
