First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study was designed to see if adding MitoQ (a daily antioxidant capsule) to standard treatment can help children and teens with mild-to-moderate ulcerative colitis feel better and need fewer steroids. Participants would have taken MitoQ or a placebo for 24 weeks alongside their usual medication. The goal was to check if a larger trial is possible, but the study was withdrawn before enrolling anyone.
