First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests whether mirabegron, a drug used for overactive bladder, can improve vision in people with dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD). About 312 adults aged 50-80 with both dry AMD and overactive bladder will take either mirabegron or a standard bladder drug daily for 12 months. Researchers will measure changes in the retina and vision to see if mirabegron offers added benefits for eye health.
