New hope for hair loss in breast cancer patients

NCT ID NCT05417308

Summary

This early study is testing whether a pill or a foam version of the hair growth drug minoxidil works better to treat hair loss caused by hormone therapy in breast cancer patients. It will involve about 50 women with stage I-IV breast cancer who are experiencing this side effect. The main goal is to see if the pill is a safe and reasonable alternative to the foam, and to measure any improvement in hair density and patient distress over 12 months.
