Summary

This study tested whether adding the antibiotic minocycline to usual treatment could ease depression in people whose depression didn't get better with standard antidepressants. 76 adults took either minocycline or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal was to see if the drug reduced depressive symptoms and inflammation in the brain.
