Summary

This study looked at whether nurse-led mindfulness sessions could help people on hemodialysis feel better emotionally and follow their treatment more closely. Eighty patients took part, with half receiving six weekly mindfulness sessions and the other half getting usual care. The mindfulness group showed significant improvements in psychological well-being and adherence to dialysis, medications, fluid restrictions, and diet.
