New Mind-Body approach aims to tame chronic pain and opioid dangers

NCT ID NCT06387290

Summary

This study is testing if a mindfulness training program and regular pain management visits with a doctor can help people who have long-term pain and take opioid painkillers. The goal is to see if these approaches can reduce pain, improve daily life, and lower the risks associated with opioid use, like misuse or addiction. It will involve 300 adults who have had chronic pain for at least 3 months and have been on opioid therapy.
