Brain-Healthy diet may ward off dementia in stroke survivors

Summary

This study tests whether a special diet called the MIND diet can help prevent memory loss and dementia in people who have had a stroke. Researchers will compare the MIND diet to usual post-stroke care in 250 adults aged 55 and older. The goal is to see if the diet protects the brain and slows cognitive decline over 2 to 3 years.
