First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a microscope during gum surgery helps the gums heal better than using standard magnifying glasses (dental loupes). About 25 adults with gum disease will have their gum flap surgery done with either a microscope or loupes. The main goal is to see if the microscope leads to faster and better healing of the soft tissue.
