Summary

This observational study looks for microplastics in children with and without inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers will collect tissue, stool, urine, and blood samples during routine procedures and use a special technique called Raman spectroscopy to detect and count microplastic particles. The goal is to see if children with IBD have more microplastics than healthy children. No medications or treatments are given as part of this study.
