Summary
This study tests whether metformin, a common diabetes medication, can improve memory and thinking in overweight or obese older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). 54 participants will receive either metformin plus lifestyle advice or lifestyle advice alone for 26 weeks. The goal is to see if metformin can reduce the risk of developing dementia by improving how the brain responds to insulin.
