NCT ID NCT07336563
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study will screen up to 10,000 adults aged 18-75 who are overweight or have metabolic issues like high blood sugar or cholesterol. Researchers will use questionnaires, blood tests, and liver ultrasounds to find out how common fatty liver disease is and what factors increase risk. The goal is to build a detailed database to improve future diagnosis and treatment.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help identify who is at risk for fatty liver disease and guide future prevention or treatment trials.
What could go wrong
This is an observational screening study, not a treatment trial. It collects data only and does not test any therapy, so direct patient benefits are limited.
