Summary
This phase 3 trial tested a new approach for malignant pleural mesothelioma, a rare and aggressive cancer of the lung lining. Researchers gave 53 patients a gene therapy (rAd-IFN) injected into the chest cavity, along with the drugs celecoxib and gemcitabine.
