New study offers tailored therapy to ease Cancer-Related distress

Summary

This study aims to train therapists to provide personalized mental health therapies to cancer patients and their caregivers who are experiencing significant distress, anxiety, depression, or sleep problems. About 100 patients and caregivers in Massachusetts will receive therapy sessions over 26 weeks, while 15 therapists receive specialized training. The goal is to see if these tailored therapies are acceptable and helpful for improving coping skills and quality of life.
