First seen May 05, 2026 ยท Last updated May 05, 2026
Summary
This study tested a new cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) module designed to reduce compulsive checking in people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The therapy focuses on improving confidence in memory, which is often low in those with checking symptoms. The study enrolled 23 adults with OCD and compared the new therapy to usual treatment, measuring changes in checking severity and time spent checking. The goal is to ease symptoms and offer a simpler treatment option.
