First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at whether eating baked potatoes (with the skin) as part of a Mediterranean diet can improve blood sugar, cholesterol, and heart health in adults with pre-diabetes. Sixty people aged 45-80 will either follow the Mediterranean diet alone or add baked potatoes for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if potatoes, often avoided, can be part of a healthy diet for managing pre-diabetes.
