First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This early study tests whether a special dye activated by blue light can kill bacteria in burn wounds. About 50 adults with burns will get either the light-dye treatment or light alone during dressing changes. The goal is to see if this approach safely reduces infection and helps wounds heal faster, offering a possible alternative to antibiotics.
