First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at whether Swedish massage or light touch can reduce anxiety symptoms in people with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). 46 adults will receive 12 sessions over 6 weeks and have their brain activity measured with fMRI before and after. The goal is to see if these touch therapies change how brain networks work and if that relates to feeling less anxious.
