New drug targets liver fat and weight in obesity trial

Summary
This study tests whether the drug maridebart cafraglutide can reduce liver fat and body weight in adults who are overweight or obese and have high liver fat. Participants will also follow a reduced-calorie diet and increase physical activity. The trial involves 180 adults and lasts about a year.
