Summary
This study looks at whether adding more magnesium to the fluid used in dialysis can help people with kidney failure live longer and have fewer heart problems. Many dialysis patients have low magnesium, which can lead to muscle cramps and heart issues. The trial will compare two different magnesium levels in the dialysis fluid across many centers, involving about 25,000 patients, to see if a simple, low-cost change can improve health.
