Doctors test Immune-Boosting drugs with radiation to fight lung cancer

NCT ID NCT04013542

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether two immunotherapy drugs (ipilimumab and nivolumab) can be safely combined with radiation therapy for patients with stage II or III non-small cell lung cancer. The goal is to see if this combination helps the immune system attack the cancer better than standard chemotherapy with radiation. The study will enroll about 21 patients who haven't had prior treatment for their current cancer.
